sweet friday
Friday: the best day of the week. At least for most of people. It means: two days off will come.
While I was on erasmus, friday meant travelling. So I will tell you a little bit about my first trip.
31st of January.
Five days after my arrival to Budapest, my flatmates went to Eger (a city in Hungary) and I was super bored and there was this huge storm. The wind opened all doors and windows. Just like a horror movie. So I decided to call my friend Marianne, who was in Bratislava, and ask her if I could visit her. I caught the train at 6pm.
I met her and her friend Andrea, an italian guy who was going to be there for erasmus, and we wentto their dormitory. I can tell it was very funny, meeting lots of people and having a good time in a warm place.
On saturday we went for a walk in the city which is very small and it was snowing. I loved it because it was the second time that I saw snow! And the first time I falled on ice as well (great feeling - and it reminded me that scene in Serendipity when they lay down on snow and watch the sky).
We walked near the river (it was freezing) which I believe that in summer is even more beautiful.
On sunday we went to a place called Slovak Pub. We ordered several dishes as: dumpled potatos (this is a slovakian speciality) with goat cheese, slovakian cheese, soup in a bread with mushrooms, potatos and something else. And, of course, beer!
As you can see, potatos are everywhere in slovakian culinary. Good and fatty food (nhami!).
I went back in the evening by train again. I was happy and I got to know another city.
Right now, Friday means rest after a thursday night (the most important night in Lisbon. I will write about it later).
Enjoy your friday,
U

#1
Anyways, thank you for reading me, I hope you enjoy my blog.
I will write about my dreams (and you can see some of them on the left side of the page), about my projects (I always have a million of them in my mind) and, mainly the reason of the creation of my blog, about my erasmus experience - four amazing months in Budapest!
See you soon and enjoy your monday,
U
